Planetfall - the best pure text adventure currently on GOG.Īnother World - an oldschool sci-fi puzzle platformer which is a good candidate for Best Use of Medium. Resonance - a point-and-click adventure about fate, freedom of choice, and the greater good.īotanicula - the best straight-up save-the-world story you'll ever see. La-Mulana - an immensely deep fantasy archeological simulation platformer with tons of in-game lore to discover. Primordia - a point-and-click transhumanist adventure about repairing the world.ĭefender's Quest - a tower defense / RPG hybrid with excellent art and writing. Instant retries.Īnodyne - a top-down exploration mindfuck game about loneliness and friendship. Teslagrad - a modern arcade / exploration platformer with great art and story. Vangers - a mindfuck game, sort of a post-apocalyptic grand RPG / car sim. Start with DROD 1, but buy 5 to use the improved engine. The Last Door: Collector's Edition - excellent, polished pixel-art horror game.ĭROD: The Second Sky - a puzzle game that actually levels up your brain.
